dc.description	"Technology is best when it brings people together and fosters their innovative ideas." Aligned with this sentiment, the 17th edition of the All-India Technical Seminar, "Transtech 2024," was jointly organized by the Tolani Maritime Institute, Pune, and the Institute of Marine Engineers (India), Student Chapter. The event took place from March 6th to 8th, 2024, on the TMI campus. The technical extravaganza, "Transtech 2024," themed 'Revolutionizing Shipping: Trends, Technologies, and Sustainable Development,' commenced on March 6th, 2024, with the arrival of the Chief Guest Dr. Vibha Dhawan, Director General, The Energy and Research Institute (TERI), New Delhi, Secretary, IEI-PLC, Mr. Uttam Awari, President, IMEI, Mr Rajeev Nayyer, and Guest Speaker Mr. Rajesh Doshi followed by a ceremonial lamp lighting and invocation of the goddess Saraswati. Dr. Sanjeet Kanungo, the Principal, extended a warm welcome to the attendees and introduced the chief guest. Transtech serves as a platform for various Maritime Institutes to participate, where cadets present innovative models and technical papers. The first day witnessed cadets from different colleges presenting their ideas through paper presentations and working models, totaling 8 papers. The event was graced by guest speakers, dignitaries, and representatives from shipping companies. The second day of Transtech 2024 was marked by high spirits, featuring 4 paper presentations and a marine quiz competition aimed at combining fun with learning. The final day hosted the valedictory function, where all winners of the Paper Presentation, Model Making Competition, Poster Presentation, Quiz Competition, and Video Making Competition were honored with certificates and cash prizes. The Chief Guest Mr Shirish C. Deshmukh, Guest Speaker Mr. Koustubh Phalnikar, and Mr. Sumithran Sampath, General Manager Class NK-Mumbai shared insights on new ideas and technologies, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and dedication in achieving goals."	en_US
