"In India, September 15th is celebrated as Engineer's Day to honor the contributions of engineers and to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sir M. Visvesvaraya. Visvesvaraya was the chief designer of the flood protection system for Hyderabad and the chief engineer responsible for the construction of the Krishna Raja Sagara dam in Mysore." After consultations with top management and the concerned faculty members, it has been decided to conduct a 1-hour session on Wednesday, 18th September, to celebrate Engineer's Day and inspire our students. The theme for the session was "Application of AI in the Maritime Industry", as suggested by the Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI] for all IEI centers nationwide.
